Just in case you're unfamiliar, what is hypnobirthing?
Hypnobirthing combines breathing, visualization and relaxation techniques to help with the release of fears, limiting beliefs and anxiety (both conscious and unconscious) that we may feel about birth. Practicing these techniques can greatly influence how we experience our birth by helping us feel more relaxed, confident and connected during the birthing process.

Who are these classes for?
-
You are pregnant (in your 2nd trimester and onwards) and would like to feel more positive and confident about your upcoming birth.
-
You might be feeling anxiety about giving birth and would like to learn more about hypnobirthing and how it can help ease your fear.
-
You would like to learn more about labour and birthing positions that can help with a more efficient delivery and less damage to the pelvic floor.
-
You are curious about other tools and techniques that can help you cope during birth.
Regardless of whether this is your first birth or if you have given birth before - Our aim is for you to feel more calm and confident, helping you to experience a positive and empowered pregnancy and birth.

A little about us and why we are teaching these classes!
I'm Diane, a mum to 2 girls. The birth of my first daughter changed my life in ways I never could have imagined and sent me on a path of working with pregnant women. My first birth was very challenging and afterwards I was left with a lot of questions, confusion and anxiety. When I became pregnant with my 2nd daughter a few years later, I decided to be more proactive in my preparation for birth. I learned about my body, my choices and dealt with my anxiety by using breathing techniques as well as seeing a hypnotherapist about my fears! It was very helpful and helped me let go of some of the negative feelings. The birth of my 2nd daughter was a very positive a experience. It healed a lot of the negative feelings I had about my first birth and helped me realize how empowering birth can be! While I have taught Prenatal Yoga for the past 6 years and love it, I decided to train as Hypnobirthing teacher as well because I believe that the tools that we learn can have a hugely positive impact on any birth. I look forward to sharing them with you.
Hi, I'm Kat! Mother of 3, former school teacher turned doula, currently focusing on teaching yoga. Working as a doula brought so much joy to my life! There is something so magical about being at a birth and witnessing new families being formed, it's a privilege to be a part of such a transformative experience. However, being on call is tough and I've had to put that aside for now as it became too difficult on my family life. Earlier this year I began teaching a baby and me yoga class and I've really loved connecting with new mum's again, so when Diane approached me about collaborating on this birth prep series I got excited thinking about how I can use my experience and knowledge in a new way! I really believe that every woman deserves to feel supported, informed, and empowered during their pregnancy and birth journey, and I look forward to creating a safe and nurturing space where you can connect with other mums-to-be, share experiences and gain the tools needed to provide you with a positive birth experience.
